Last modified 1/18/2023
Welcome to campus, new Redbirds! We know you are eager to start your college experience, so we have put together this Technology QuickStart guide to give you a brief overview of student technology at Illinois State.
You’ll find instructions for connecting to the internet here on campus, information about accessing Canvas, ReggieNet and My.IllinoisState.edu, links to essential technology resources, and much more.
As a student, being tech-savvy means more than being able to check your email or create a Word document. The truly tech-savvy student should also be knowledgeable about:
- Technology resources available to students.
- Where to find technology support on campus (online and in-person).
- Effectively using Canvas, ReggieNet, My.IllinoisState.edu, and other campus technology tools.
- How to keep your data safe.
Note
Reggienet will no longer be used starting Fall 2023, some classes have already moved into Canvas for Spring 2023. To see what classes are in Canvas now see the article Canvas Pilot Courses for Spring 2023.
