Changing the Volume on your Cisco IP Phone

You can customize the volume of the ring tone on your VoIP phone, as well as the volume of calls you receive.
Before You Begin
These instructions explain how to adjust the volume of your VoIP phone. You can adjust the volume of your phone's ringer, as well as the volume of the calls you receive.
Adjust the Volume of the Call
To adjust your VoIP phone’s call volume, do the following:
- While dialing or on a call, press the Volume button. The (-) side of the button will decrease the volume, and the (+) side of the button will increase the volume.
- You will hear the volume of your caller’s voice change.
- Press the Save button to save your volume adjustment.
Note
If you do not press Save, only the current call's volume will be affected.
Adjust the Volume of the Ringer
To adjust your VoIP phone’s ringer volume, do the following:
- While your phone is idle or when your phone rings, press the Volume button. The (-) side of the button will decrease the volume, and the (+) side of the button will increase the volume.
- You will hear the volume of your ringer change.
- Your ringer volume adjustment is automatically saved.
