Central Login: How to Fix a Stale Request Error

The Stale Request error may occur for a variety of reasons, including: 

  • Letting the page go past the 10 minute sign in window. After 10 minutes, the form will expire. 
  • Pressing the back button after signing in to a resource - that was never going to go well.
  • Leaving a browser tab open with an expired session or a sign on page that has met the 10 minute window in the background
  • Using a malformed bookmark to the sign on page
  • Cookies are disabled on the browser
  • An unstable network situation, for example hopping between different networks doing the sign-on process

Should you receive this error, you may refresh the page you were looking to access or click the available links to quickly access the site you are looking for. If the error persists, it is recommended you clear your browser cache and try again.
