Find your Academic Advisor in the Student Center

Last modified 1/25/2024

As a student, you must be registered for the current or future term to be assigned an academic advisor and success team in the Student Center

If you are a new student, please visit https://universitycollege.illinoisstate.edu/advising/ to start your orientation, find the advising center, see the advising center hours and more.

Before You Begin

As a student at Illinois State University, you are assigned an academic advisor (also referred to as a program advisor). Your academic advisor will assist you in planning your schedule of classes and will help make sure you are taking the right classes to ensure you graduate on time.

Depending on your specific circumstances, you might have more than one academic advisor. For example, if you are pursuing a major (or minor) in more than one academic program, you might have a different advisor for each major.

You can find information about your academic advisor by logging in to the Student Center.

  1. Log in to My.IllinoisState.edu.
