Use your voicemail PIN to access voicemail for your campus phone number.

Before You Begin

When you initially set up your voicemail, you will be prompted to change it to something personal. You can also change your PIN later. The voice mail system may periodically require you to change your PIN for security reasons.

The first time you use your PIN to set up your voicemail, you will be prompted to change it to something personal and secret. You can change your security code at any time.

Problems with your Voice Mail PIN

If you do not know your voicemail PIN or if it is no longer working, you can request to reset it to the default.

First, verify that you cannot access your voicemail. If you continue to have problems, please do one of the following:

  • Navigate to Help.IllinoisState.edu/Get-IT-Help and click the Submit Detailed Request link. Log in if prompted, and then click Phones and Network →  Reset Voicemail Password and answer the questions on the form. This will generate a Help Ticket, which will be sent to Telecommunications & Networking.

  • Contact the Technology Support Center at 309-438-4357, or by email at SupportCenter@illinoisstate.edu. Explain that you need to reset your voice mail security code to the default. A Technology Support Center analyst will log your request and send a ticket to Unified Communications.

A member of Unified Communications will contact you once your voicemail security code has been reset.
