Nonverbal Feedback During Zoom Meetings
Last modified 9/20/2023
If the Nonverbal feedback feature is enabled, participants can place an icon beside their name to communicate with the meeting host and other participants without disruption.
Before you Begin
This feature is available for Windows and Mac Zoom clients, iOS and Android mobile app, and web browsers. All participants can see the icons everyone else has chosen. The host is able to see a summary of how many participants are displaying each icon and has the ability to remove all feedback.
It is recommended that hosts looking to use nonverbal feedback in Zoom, conduct a test to allow the participants to become familiar with how the method works and what to expect when it comes time to actively participate during the meeting. Additionally, hosts should add the question being asked to the meeting chat for reference by participants. This can be done by starting a mock Zoom meeting with users who are willing to assist you in trying out the Nonverbal Feedback feature.
When using the nonverbal feedback method, participants should select their response again to remove it from the participants list. Doing so will allow the meeting host to prepare the next question.
