Steppingblocks Digital Career Counselor is an innovative AI-powered tool that helps students explore and plan their career paths by providing personalized insights based on their skills, interests, and academic background. It offers detailed information on job opportunities, salary projections, required skills, and industry trends that empower students to make informed decisions about their future career field. The Digital Career Counselor module is available to all current ISU Students, Faculty, and Staff automatically.

To log in, visit https://ilstu.steppingblocks.com/ and click Illinois State University Sign On and sign in with your University Email and password using Central Login

Steppingblocks Graduate Insights

Steppingblocks Graduate Insights focuses on data analytics to provide institutions with a clear picture of alumni career outcomes. It tracks trends such as salary progression, employment industries, geographic locations, and advanced education pursuits. It is commonly used by universities to assess program effectiveness as well as support data-driven improvements. It is a powerful tool for both institutions and students to understand and leverage the connections between their education and career success. The Graduate Insights module is only available to current ISU faculty and staff and requires an access request. See Requesting Access below for more information on how to request access.

Requesting Access

Steppingblocks Digital Career Counselor can be used by anyone who has an ISU login; including students, faculty, and staff, without the need to request access.

Steppingblocks Graduate Insights module, however, is only available to existing ISU faculty and staff by request only. To gain access to the Steppingblocks Graduate Insights module, please Submit a Request via Web Form. 

The web form (linked above) will require the following information:

Your ULID
Your name (first and last)
Your department
The reason you would like access to the Graduate Insights module within Steppingblocks
If you're requesting general (most common) or restricted access
