Reporting Positive Time

Last modified 7/24/2024

Exempt employees are required to report any time spent on official Illinois State University business each day. Traditionally this would amount to 7.5 hours of work per day; however, this total may be higher or lower based on the amount of time spent on University business that particular day. Only the Office of Ethics see this timesheet (your supervisor does not ever see it).

Keep in Mind When Submitting Positive Time:

  • Benefits timesheets are due at the end of every month to give your manager time toview and approve reported time.
  • You can make as many changes to your Benefits timesheet as needed during the month.
  • If changes are made to time that has already been approved, you must notify your manager so they can re-approve the altered time.
    • You have up to 2 calendar days past the end of each pay period to make last- minute adjustments as an employee, then only your manager can make changes!
