Technology Training Courses

Introduction

The Technology Support Center offers in-person training sessions on several web-based applications used on campus. Learn how to use these different technologies and its various features. Most training sessions take place in the Julian Hall training lab.

All training sessions are arranged on an as-needed basis and can be set up by contacting the Technology Support Center (TSC) at ITHelp.IllinoisState.edu, by email at SupportCenter@illinoisstate.edu, or by phone at (309) 438-4357.

Achieve

Achieve (formerly known as Appointment Manager) trainings cover different components of Achieve. Learn how to edit your profile, make appointments, block/unblock appointments, cancel/re-enact appointments, create a group calendar, and create group time blocks. Job aids covering the main points of what is covered in training are emailed to you post-training.

Achieve trainings are conducted one-on-one and take approximately one hour. Group training sessions can also be arranged if more than one person is interested in attending a training session at the same time. Because trainings are individualized, other Achieve functions can be covered based on the trainees’ interests.

Campus Solutions

Campus Solutions trainings cover the basic functions and structure of Campus Solutions. Learn about Campus Solutions terminology, how to navigate Campus Solutions, and how to perform functions within this application. Based on your role in Campus Solutions, other menus and functions based on your access will be covered as well. Job aids covering the main points of what is covered in training are emailed to you post-training.

Campus Solutions trainings are conducted as one-on-one and take approximately 2 – 2 ½ hours. Because trainings are individualized, other Campus Solutions functions can be covered based on the trainees’ interests. Group training sessions can also be arranged if more than one person is interested in attending a training session at the same time.

Formstack

Formstack trainings are an introduction to the Formstack survey tool and its features. Learn how to navigate Formstack, how to create a form, and how to collect form submissions. Job aids covering the main points of what is covered in training are emailed to you post-training.

Formstack trainings are conducted either as group training sessions or one-on-one, depending on the need and the time of year and take approximately one hour.

During the academic school year, trainings are organized by the Center for Training, Learning, and Technology (CTLT). Sign up for a training session on the CTLT website. If you are unable to attend the training sessions offered, please contact the Technology Support Center to arrange a one-on-one training session.

During the summer, trainings can be requested through the Technology Support Center. Contact the TSC to arrange a one-on-one training session. Group training sessions can also be arranged if more than one person is interested in attending a training session at the same time.

Microsoft Teams

Microsoft Teams trainings cover the features in Microsoft Teams. Learn about each feature’s purpose, how to use each feature, how to chat with individuals and groups, and how to share files. Job aids covering the main points of what is covered in training are emailed to you post-training.

Microsoft Teams trainings are conducted one-on-one and take approximately one hour. Group training sessions can also be arranged if more than one person is interested in attending a training session at the same time. Because trainings are individualized, other Microsoft Team functions can be covered based on the trainees’ interests.

Qualtrics

Qualtrics trainings are an introduction to Qualtrics and its features. Learn about Qualtrics’ features, how to create a survey, analyze the survey results, and how to create reports based on results. Job aids covering the main points of what is covered in training are emailed to you post-training.

Qualtrics trainings are conducted one-on-one and take approximately one hour. Group training sessions can also be arranged if more than one person is interested in attending a training session at the same time. Because trainings are individualized, other Qualtrics functions can be covered based on the trainees’ interests.
