Lab Summary

Creative Commons is outfitted with printers and scanners and is tied into the campus-wide uPrint system for payment. The lab is located in Center for the Visual Arts Room 138.

Hours of Operation (2024):

The lab will be closed:

• During all University emergency/weather closures.
• MLK Day - January 15
• Memorial Day - May 27
• Juneteeth - June 19
• Summer -  May 10 - August 19

HP M507 Black and White Laser Printer

About the Printer:

• Works with uPrint’s mobile, email, and web-based submission
• Can print double-sided
• Only prints letter-sized paper (8.5” x 11”)
• Black ink only, no color
• No cardstock
• The the printer is stocked with 28lb paper with 100 brightness

About the Printer:

• Currently it does not work with uPrint mobile, email, and web-based file submissions.
  • All printing must be done from the lab stations (located in CVA 138)
• Printer is a full color, CMYK laser printer
• Can print various sizes:
  • Letter (8.5”x11”)
  • Tabloid (11”x17”)
  • Tabloid Plus/Arch B (12”x18”)
• Can print double-sided

Trays:

Please Note: The trays are pre-set for sizes, and proper document setup must be used in order for the project to be printed to the correct tray.

• Tray 1: Letter, white, plain paper (28lb, 100 brightness)
• Tray 2: Letter, white, cardstock (80lb, 100 brightness)
• Tray 3: Tabloid (11”x17”), white, plain paper (28lb, 100 brightness)
• Tray 4: Tabloid (11”x17”), white, cardstock (80lb, 100 brightness)
• Bypass Tray: custom paper, tabloid plus, etc.

Black and White Pricing:

The printer will charge black and white printing prices, but the document must be set up correctly for the pricing to be accurate. Please keep that in mind.

Epson Sure Color P9000

About the Printer:

• Currently it does not work with uPrint mobile, email, and web-based file submissions.
  • All printing must be done from the lab stations (located in CVA 138)
• Printer is a full color, CMYK inkjet printer
• It is capable of printing roll or sheet cut paper
• Currently, it is limited to only print on Enhanced Matte paper using Matte Black ink

Printing Prices:

The price list below is an approximation. The cost is based on the square inch of the print size, so changing any of the document dimensions will change the price charged. So if one were to print an 18”x24” poster, but added registration lines (which add about an extra inch all around) the price would be based on a 20”x26” print.
