Enable Camera, Microphone, and Speaker Access in Microsoft Teams

To allow Microsoft Teams to access your audio (speakers, headphones, or microphone) or camera, first:

  • Desktop

  • iPad

  1. Open the Settings app on your device
  2. Select Apps from the left hand menu
  3. Scroll down to Teams and select it
  4. Make sure the Microphone setting is toggled on
  5. Teams will now use the the internal Microphone on your iPad or the Microphone of your connected bluetooth device (ex: airpods) 

  • iPhone

  1. Open the Settings app on your device
  2. Scroll down to the bottom and select Apps
  3. Scroll down to Teams and select Teams
  4. Make sure the Microphone setting is toggled on
  5. Teams will now use the the internal Microphone on your iPad or the Microphone of your connected bluetooth device (ex: airpods) 

  • Android

  1. Open the Settings app on your device
  2. Select Apps
    1. Select See all apps if necessary 
  3. Select Teams
  4. Select Permissions
  5. Select Microphone
  6. Choose to:
    1. Allow only while using app
    2. Ask every time
    3. Don't allow
  7. Repeat steps for Camera if necessary, choosing Camera on step 5 instead of Microphone.
