Instructor Change for Course in Canvas

If there is a need for a change of instructor in an existing course in Canvas:

  • The new instructor must be added as the instructor of record in Campus Solutions by the Office of the Registrar
  • If the new instructor is unable to view/access the course, they will need to verify with Registrar that they are the instructor of Record for the course
  • Once the new instructor is updated as the instructor of record, they will be able to access the course
  • If the old instructor is still listed as a Teacher in the course, the new instructor will not be able to remove the old instructor on their own. If the new instructor wishes to remove the old one, they will need to contact
