Students, faculty and staff may use their Google Chromebook to access isunet, a secure wireless network that is accessible throughout campus.

These instructions require you to be within range of the isunet wireless network.

Connect to isunet with Google Chromebook

To connect to isunet with Google Chromebook, do the following:

  1. Power on your Google Chromebook.
  2. On the Home screen, locate the wifi icon at the bottom-right of the screen (the cone-shaped icon), and click on it.
  3. Click Settings (the gear-shaped icon).
    1. If your wifi is off, click Turn Wi-Fi on to turn wifi on.
  4. Click isunet fron the list of Known Networks.
    1. If you don't see a list of available networks, click on the screen next to Wi-Fi not connected to show the list of networks.
  5. A window will appear which contains the wi-fi settings for isunet. Configure them as follows:
    • The EAP method should be PEAP.
    • The Phase 2 authentication should be MSCHAPV2.
    • The Server CA certificate should be "Do not validate" (might also appear as "Do not check" or "None").
      • Leave Subject match blank
      • Leave Subject alternative name match blank
      • Under Domain suffix match, specify wireless.ilstu.edu
    • Under Identity, enter your ISU email address (if this does not work, you may try using just your ULID)
    • Leave Anonymous identity blank.
    • Under Password, enter your ISU password.
  6. Click Connect.

You are now connected to the isunet wireless network.
