User Guide for Foxit PDF Editor+

Foxit PDF Editor provides tools for creating, editing, organizing, securing, and reviewing PDF documents. This article provides information about the help resources available in Foxit PDF Editor and directs Illinois State University faculty, staff, and students to resources for common PDF tasks.

  • Foxit's Help Center

The Help Center provides access to Foxit's online documentation for Foxit PDF Editor+.

  1. To open the Help Center from the PDF Editor:
  2. Open Foxit PDF Editor.
  3. Select Help > Help Center.
  4. Browse the available topics or enter a keyword in the Search box.
  5. Select a topic to view the available instructions.

You can also search for help about a specific feature using the search box in the Foxit PDF Editor+ title bar.


 To search for a specific feature:

  1. Enter a keyword or feature name in the search box.
  2. Review the available search options.
  3. Select the matching option under Get Help on.
  4. Foxit PDF Editor + will open the Help Center and display related topics.

  • Content-Specific Help

Foxit PDF Editor+ provides content-specific help based on the feature

  1. Move your mouse over a button or feature.
  2. Review the information displayed about the feature.
  3. If Tell me More is available, select it to open additional information in the Help Center.

  • Foxit's Online Tutorials

Foxit provides online tutorials that demonstrate features and common tasks in Foxit PDF Editor+. 

To access the tutorials:

  1. Open Foxit PDF Editor.
  2. Select Help > Online Tutorial.
  3. Select the tutorial you want to view.
