Technology Support at Campus East

Last modified 8/12/2026

Several teams provide technology support for College of Engineering students, faculty, staff, and guests in the Campus East space. The two primary technology teams reside in the Campus East building -  CEG IT and CEG Lab Support.

CEG IT

CEG IT provides support to all CEG faculty and staff on their general computer needs, including individual hardware, initial support for CEG classrooms and conference rooms, and walk-in support for students and guests of the building. CEG IT is comprised of support staff who are embedded with the college at Campus East and is part of the Endpoint Support team, which provides additional support from the main campus. There are multiple ways to reach CEG IT:

  • Phone: Initial phone support is handled by the Technology Support Center (TSC) at 309-438-HELP (4357). The TSC can resolve issues with many common services and will pass issues that are CEG-specific or require on-site support to the CEG IT team. The TSC is available from 8 am – 10 pm M-F, and 12 pm – 5 pm Sa-Su. Note: In-building classroom and conference room support should be directed to the number listed in that section below.
  • Chat: The Technology Support Center may also be reached by web chat during open hours.
  • Web form: the ServiceNow IT ticket portal includes web forms for detailed requests, such as a request for onboarding employees or requesting new Microsoft 365 services. It is the fastest way to get such requests to the team that handles them.
  • In person: the CEG IT team office is located in GER 163A and staff are available for walk-in or in-office visits from that location. CEG IT on-site hours are 8 am – 4:30 pm, Monday-Friday.
