About

How-to setup the automated device enrollment in Apple School Manager and Jamf Pro.

Getting Started

  1. Log into Jamf. https://illinoisstate.jamfcloud.com
  2. Select your IT area's site.


  3. Once your site is selected, select the gear in the top right.


  4.  Select the Device Enrollment Program from the Global Management section.



  5. Select Public Key in the top-right to download the key that we will give to Apple School Manager.


  6. Log into Apple School Manager. https://school.apple.com

  7. Select Settings in the bottom left.


  8. Click on Device Management Settings and then Add MDM Server.


  9. For MDM Server Name use, Jamf - IT Support Team Name


  10. Under MDM Server Settings, select Choose File... and select the file downloaded from Jamf - PublicKey.pem



  11. Select Save when completed.


  12. You will now see your new MDM server on the list, select it, and then select Download Token. Save the file for later use in Jamf.
  13. Go back to the Jamf console.

  14.  Select New.


  15. Type in a display name that will match what's in Apple School Manager.
    1. ex.     Jamf - IT Support Team


  16.  Select Upload Server Token File and select the file downloaded from Apple School Manager.


  17. Select Save when completed.
  18. Then select Done.
