The following software and IT services are available to faculty and staff of Illinois State University.

3D Printing Services — 3D printing services that are available free of charge.

Achieve (Appointment Manager) — Application used primarily by advisors to schedule appointments with students.

Adobe Creative Cloud — A set of applications and services that gives users access to a collection of software for graphic design, video editing, web development, and photography, along with a set of mobile applications and some optional cloud services.

ArcGIS — ArcGIS is a geographic information system for working with maps and geographic information maintained by the Environmental Systems Research Institute.

Azure Portal Access — Portal where students can download Microsoft development tools for at home use.

Borrow Devices — A program that allows University members to borrow a variety of mobile devices and media equipment.

Cambridge CSD — Searchable repository of small molecule crystal structures.

Campus Labs Compliance Assist — Connect and manage strategic planning and program review.

Campus Labs Outcomes — Manage program review and accreditation.

Campus Solutions — Student central access point for course registration and enrollment. Primary academic administration portal for faculty.

CAS Collaboration Software — Public facing website that allows non-ISU users to search keywords based on faculty teaching and research interests

CAS Syllabus Database — Distribute syllabi to currently enrolled students or students evaluating future courses. Other institutions looking to transfer credits from ISU to their University.

Cherwell Desktop Client — Application used primarily by IT staff to manage requests by the ISU staff, students, and community.

Cisco AnyConnect — VPN software used to access Payroll, Department Drives, and Department VMs off campus

Computer Labs — General use computers available to faculty, staff and students. There is also a general use virtual lab computer lab available.

Cultural Dinners Ticket System — Allows ISU and non-ISU people to purchase tickets to UHS Cultural Dinners.

Department Course Planning Application — Collect and process future courses to be offered by academic organizations.

Digital Wall — An active laboratory for teaching and learning with interactive technology and data visualization. It provides a showcase for data-related tools and presentations produced at the University.

Digitization Request — A digitization service through Milner Library that provides archival quality digitization and printing services for various fees to the Illinois State University community.

Formstack — Data collection tool that website content managers can use for line of business purposes.

Grade Change Form — Allows Faculty to change grades after the semester is already complete

Grammarly — Grammarly is licensed on a per name basis and the new period begins on September 1st. Faculty are covered at no direct cost and if utilized within the last year are automatically setup for the period 9/1/2023 to 8/31/2024. New faculty wishing access should submit a ticket to the TSC to be added. This request requires approval with your Associate Dean. Seats are limited, and no new users can be added after 5/31/24. Staff in non-academic units wishing Grammarly should contact their tech support and have the appropriate person submit a department order via TechZone (cost is $12 per person). Batch orders are appreciated. Students are not eligible via this license.

Groundwater Modeling System - GMS — GMS is a water modeling application for building and simulating groundwater models from Aquaveo.

Group Collaboration Stations — Stations that allow individuals to quickly display their laptop or mobile device screen on a 43" monitor to a group of 5-6 people.

Holiday Helper — Members of the ISU community may sponsor a child during the holidays.

iPeople — Human Resources application used to report work hours, update address and other personal contact information, and view and approve employee time.

iRegister(Bone Student Center) — Register for events at the Bone Student Center.

iRegister(University Housing Services) — Register for University Housing events.

LiveText by Watermark — LiveText by Watermark is used by teacher education program members in the College of Applied Science and Technology, the College of Arts and Sciences, the College of Business, the College of Education, and the College of Fine arts. LiveText is required for the completion of Gateway 1

Make It Space — A space that provides a variety of equipment and services that support multimedia editing, 3D modeling, etc.

Mathematica — Mathematica is a software package for communicating scientific ideas, whether this is visualization of a concept in an intro-level course or creating a simulation of a new idea related to research.

Microform Readers, Printers, and Scanners — Machines that allow users to view, print, or scan microforms (microfilms, microfiches, and microcards).

Milner Library General Support — Milner Library's chat, text, and email support area for all questions regarding using the library and accessing library research.

Purchase Requests — A form to suggest materials for Milner Library to purchase that support teaching, studying, and research at the University.

Qualtrics — Platform used to create online surveys with advanced analytics options.

Respondus Lockdown Browser — Use Respondus LockDown Browser to take ReggieNet assessments from a locked browser. This download is available for students who have an assessment in ReggieNet that requires the use of LockDown Browser.

Soil Water Assessment Tool (SWAT) — Small watershed to river basin-scale model used to simulate the quality and quantity of surface and ground water and predict the environmental impact of land use, land management practices, and climate change. Used in assessing soil erosion prevention and control, non-point source pollution control and regional management in watersheds.

Thesis and Dissertation Binding Requests — A binding service available through Milner Library.

VMWare Software Academic Program (VMAP) — Portal where students can download full VMWare products for at home use.

Watermark Faculty Success — Watermark Faculty Success (formerly Digital Measures) is a tool used as a teaching, research, and service report generator. This tool also feeds faculty information to department websites.

Zoom — Video communication solution utilized by faculty, staff, and students to collaborate virtually.
