Beamer and Accessibility

Similar to Overleaf, Beamer PDFs are not tagged, lack heading structure, does not read math to screen readers and often have broken reading order.

LaTeX: Beamer Accessibility – limited support for accessibility; a good option is to convert to HTML

Beamer may be used for research or publications but not the sole instructional format for ISU students.  An accessible format should be used such as Powerpoint, Word, HTML, Canvas.

Others Options for mathematical content

Mathpix and Equatio are mathematical tools that are being adopted by universities across the country, highlighting their accessibility.
