  1. Clearly and concisely articulates ideas verbally and in written work.
  2. Gives feedback in a constructive manner and is willing to present alternative ideas.
  3. Receives feedback with an open mind and attempts to use it constructively.
  4. Possesses effective listening skills and the ability to adapt communication styles to situation or group.
  5. Displays a friendly, concerned, helpful, and sensitive demeanor.
  6. Possesses the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

  4. Clearly sets and communicates expectations while ensuring staff members understand their roles and responsibilities. 
  5. Provides timely performance assessment that addresses performance matters in a consistent manner while adhering to approved policies. 
  6. Appropriate delegates tasks and responsibilities among the team while ensuring tasks are appropriate for the role and workload of the staff member. 
  7. Leads staff through change with a positive attitude.
