Grad Students: Pay Your Enrollment Deposit Fee

Newly admitted graduate students must pay a $150 non-refundable Enrollment Deposit to reserve their space in the next cohort of graduate students. The Enrollment Deposit fee may be paid online, or by mail, but may not be paid over the phone.

Note: The Enrollment Deposit is not the same as the Application Fee that applicants either pay online when submitting their application for admission, or after submitting their application.

To Pay Your Enrollment Deposit Online

  1. Navigate to My.IllinoisState.edu and log into your account with your University Login ID (ULID) and password.
  2. Once signed into the portal, locate and click on the Enrollment Deposit Fee button.
    • If you do not see the button on your home page, you may need to select the Admissions tab near the top of the page and then locate and click on the button.
  3. Complete the payment form.
  4. Click Submit.

To Pay Your Enrollment Deposit By Check or Money Order


You may also submit your Enrollment Deposit by sending a check or money order payable to Illinois State University. Please include your 9-digit University ID (UID) number and indicate 'Enrollment Deposit' with the payment.

  • If you do not know your UID number, you may log into Account.IllinoisState.edu with your University Login ID (ULID) and password, and you will find your 9-digit UID number displayed underneath the section labeled Your Information on the right.
