Create an Issue in YouTrack

You can create an issue on YouTrack in order to flag problems for review.

Before You Begin


Before creating an issue, you need to log in to YouTrack using the link https://issues.at.illinoisstate.edu/login
 with your ULID and password. If you have issues logging in, please see the following article:

Create an Issue Page


You may create an Issues page by following the below instructions:

  1. Click Create at the top-middle of the screen.
  2. Select the name of the project by clicking the down-facing arrow next to New Issue In... Be aware the selector may at first default to a different project.
  3. Write a concise summary of the defect in the Summary box.
  4. In the Description box, write an elaborated description of the issue, including a list of steps to reproduce the issue, an explanation of the expected and actual results, and a description of the test environment in which the issue occurred.
  5. Click on the RFC# link to identify the project number (which is a 4-digit project number from the Project Management tool).
  6. Enter the number.
  7. Press Enter.
  8. Click on Normal to indicate the priority of the issue.
  9. Click on Bug to identify the type of issue.
  10. Click on Unassigned to send the issue to a specific staff member.
  11. To add any important attachments, click the Attach button, which looks like a paperclip.
  12. Click Create at the bottom-left of the screen.
